NUEVA CRISIS, NUEVO "CRECIMIENTO"

Todavía no salimos de una – la crisis de la inseguridad pública – y ya se nos viene encima otra crisis ahora de carácter económico. Por eso yo propongo que nos juntemos con los chinos y con los indios. A ellos, el "tsunami financiero" originado en los Estados Unidos, les hace "lo que el viento a Juárez". ¿Cómo le hacen para ser inmunes ante los estragos financieros y económicos y, muy pronto, sociales, que se acaban de sufrir en casi todo el mundo? Porque según las proyecciones mas recientes del Fondo Monetario Internacional (FMI), el organismo mejor informado en esta materia, ha ajustado a la baja sus pronósticos de crecimiento de la economía mundial y prevé que "lo peor de la crisis está por venir a fines de este año y hasta la mitad del 2009". Y pone varios casos, a manera de ejemplo, van: Las economías desarrolladas van a crecer este año un promedio de 1.5 por ciento. Pero en el 2009 crecerán, en promedio, 0.5 por ciento. En particular EU crecerá este año 1.6 por ciento, pero para el 2009, solamente crecerá 0.1 por ciento. Francia crecerá este año 0.8 por ciento. Para el 2009 solamente va a crecer el 0.2 por ciento. Italia en el 2008 va a "crecer" -0.1 por ciento. Para el año que viene "crecerá" el -0.2 por ciento. Japón crecerá este año el 0.7 por ciento. En el 2009 va a crecer el 0.5 por ciento. Inglaterra crecerá este año el 1 por ciento. Para el 2009 van a "crecer" el -0.1 por ciento. Alemania crecerá en 2008 el 1.8 por ciento. Para el año que viene no saben si bajará 1 o más por ciento. No quiero atosigarlos con tantos números mis estimados lectores y lectoras. Pero además de que son datos oficiales, solamente mediante esos numeritos es posible mirar de manera "amable" el tamaño de la crisis. Pues si lo lógico es que las economías que no tienen problemas, tengan números ascendentes, cuando son descendentes significa que algo anda mal. Y si a ellos, los fuertotes les va mal, su reacción para protegerse, también lógica es que apachurren más a los de abajo, es decir a los débiles que somos nosotros. Ello se refleja en los números que el FMI proyecta para las economías en desarrollo. De crecer el 6.9 por ciento en promedio en 2008, para el 2009, van (vamos) a crecer el 6.1 por ciento en promedio. Van los datos particulares de este tipo de países: Brasil crecerá en el 2008, 5.2 por ciento. Para el 2009 su crecimiento será de 3.5 puntos. Rusia va a crecer en el 2008, 7 puntos. Pero ene. 2009 crecerá solamente 5.5 por ciento. La India crecerá en este año 7.9 por ciento. Para el 2009 crecerá un punto menos. China crecerá este año 9.7 puntos. Para el 2009 volverá a crecer 9.7 o más. Por su parte, nuestro país iba a crecer en el 2008, 2.4 por ciento. Con esto que está sucediendo, solamente va a crecer 2.1 por ciento. Para el 2009, México iba a crecer 2.4 por ciento. Ahora se piensa que va a crecer solamente 1.8 por ciento. Tómese en cuenta que para que nuestro país, supere sus problemas económicos se requiere que crezca 7 puntos durante al menos 20 años seguidos. Y todo lo anterior sucederá en el caso de que no haya convulsiones u "oleajes" mayores o iguales a las recientes. Como puede observarse, solamente los chinos y los indios parecen haber construido una especie de Arca de Noé que los ha protegido muy bien del "tsunami financiero". ¿Cómo le han hecho? Habrá que poner atención. A lo mejor debiéramos acercarnos a sus experiencias, porque con eso de que estamos pegados al gigante del norte, EU, cada que se mueve o que se enferma, a nosotros nos quiebra los huesos o nos deja al borde de la agonía y hace falta algo mas para protegernos. Ese algo pudiera ser "arrimarnos a otros árboles". Ya ven que al que a buen árbol se arrima, buena sombra le cobija. En ese sentido, parecen correctas las medidas propuestas por el Presidente Calderón para enfrentar esta crisis, éste sunami financiero. Ya tenemos una buena trajinera, está bien. Pero los chinos y los indios tienen su Arca de Noe. Además hacen falta otras medidas concretas para que la población se proteja en lo inmediato. Pero esa es otra historia.
